Wilmington’s October Fall Events

Pumpkins are a symbol of may of the fall events that take place in October.

Fall arrives on Friday, September 22nd, accompanied by a variety of annual local fall events.

That doesn’t mean the beach days are gone for 2017. The weather is still pleasant and there are lots of things happening in October to celebrate the fall season and of course Halloween. So whether you look forward to October for the Oktoberfest celebrations, Halloween or maybe both, Wilmington and our surrounding beach areas will not disappoint.

When attending one of the fall events listed below, be sure to remember that the parking regulations are still in effect until October 31st in Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. Parking rules for Wilmington remain in effect year round.

October 1st

Wilmington’s Annual Riverfest Festival
Enjoy Wilmington’s annual Riverfest Celebration featuring exhibits, crafts, entertainment, food, a car show, fireworks and more! This is one of the biggest fall events held in Wilmington each year, since 1979.

Pleasure Island Seafood, Blues & Jazz Festival
