A Shore Thing is the updated beach home you and your family are looking for! This classic beach cottage has been redone to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.
There are 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, hardwood floors, and all the deck space you could want. The den and kitchen have a large eat-in area, and there is a large sun deck with built-in seating great for meals as well! You will also find an over sized screened-in porch to relax on and enjoy the ocean breeze. There is a large flat screen TV in the downstairs den, there is also a sleeper sofa in the coffee/reading room, great for guests that want to spread out.
On the lower level there are three bedrooms, each with a queen. One of these bedrooms is the master bedroom with its own private bathroom and large walk in closet. The other 2 queen bedrooms share a jack and jill bathroom and one is equipped with its own wet bar. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has 2 bunk beds with attached bathroom, and the 2nd bedroom has 2 twins with a private bathroom.

"This one is a bit challenging to review. To start with, the location of the rental is great. And the rental has a number of patios, which are great too. But unfortunately the rental is not in the best condition. There are a number of things that, while not completely broken, were basically falling apart. It also was not the cleanest rental. The pots and pans and dishes were a mess and a dog (presumably from the group staying prior to us) had gone to the bathroom on one of the patios before we arrived. It seems that the new owners are making efforts to fix many of these items but there is clearly more work that needs to be done. The rental agency was also very difficult to work with -- I think the owners would be much better off just managing it on their own. "

Prior to your arrival we talked with the owners to have linens added to your stay for you and also to have your beds made free of charge to insure you the best vacation possible. We provided all your check in information and also made sure you had a welcome packet with coupons and local area information to be able to enjoy that area fully. "This house has no business being on the rental market! As an owner of a beach house for years as well as renting different homes from Wrightsville to the Outer Banks it is by far the worst I have seen. It is clear the new owners are over their heads. It is falling apart! Shutters were hanging off the windows, kitchen was scarcely stocked and the pots and pans were all warped. The master bathroom smelled like urine and all the screens in the house were torn. The cleaning crew did a terrible job cleaning and the filters in the house were so dirty that dust and dirt was clearly visible on the outside of the screen covers. After complaining to Intracoastal and having no AC for 2 days they sent someone to fix what could be fixed but until the owners are willing to put some money into this place it will not be a pleasant experience. Very disappointing!!!"
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are so sorry that you encountered housekeeping and maintenance concerns at the property. We were alerted that the AC was not cooling properly, so sent our technician to change the filters and scheduled an HVAC company to come check the freon, install new, easier to operate thermostats, and thaw the unit that had been frozen. A few other maintenance items were mentioned (screens, loose outlet, bulbs) and we had our lead technician come out to assess and repair anything that he was able. We have talked with the owners regarding your feedback and they sincerely apologize that you?ve felt so unhappy during your stay. We have worked with them to address any and all items you brought to our attention as quickly as possible and they will take your further suggestions as a priority list going forward as they continue to try and make their home a great vacation experience for every guest.
