The kitchen has a large breakfast nook with ocean views, lots of seating in the dining room and bar area, and a spacious comfortable living room with a large flat screen TV. The master bedroom has a king bed, oceanfront views, and a private full bathroom. The guest bedroom with the queen bed has ocean views and marsh views, the guest bedroom with the two twins has marsh views. Both these bedrooms share a full hall bathroom.
Apart from the amazing views, you will also be able to play tennis on the Duneridge courts and take advantage of the private path to the beach reserved only for Duneridge guests. "This was our 3rd stay at DR1401 and our 5th at Duneridge. I've come to realize that renting at Duneridge will never be perfect no matter how much money it costs. I don't know whether this is the norm for vacation rentals or whether I expect too much. The issues in a review someone left in July were not addressed and I had to make calls on the same. One was plumbing and maybe can be excused the other was a noisy AC unit on the roof which while only obvious when sleeping nearly ruined our stay. But overall cleanliness is the biggest problem we've run into repeatedly. The grill on the furnace needs to be sanded and painted. It has caked on dirt from years of neglect. Ceiling fans are dirty and the kitchen, while appliances are ok, the draws are loaded with crumbs, the cabinets have old dry food stuff that should have been thrown away years ago and most pots and pans are complete junk. Overall we are happy staying here because we know what to expect now and when we have called IntraCoastal they have been quick to respond and get most things fixed. "

"We had issues getting the toilet unclogged. We were promised repair on Sunday and no one came or reponded until Monday afternoon. We were told that the owner's plumber never responded but it then took two other plumbers before it was repaired. The A/C went out and required 3 phone calls before a repairman arrived. There is evidence of water damage and damp areas on the ceiling in the hallway. The back sliding door is bent and will not lock and often won't even close all the way. The location of this unit is not desirable as it is the last unit away from the pool or beach access and it is adjacent to the public parking lot. There is a noise from some type of water pumping system that occurs almost all night. It was obvious that the unit had not been dusted because when I was sweeping up sand, there were large amounts of dust under the TV unit as well as the bathroom cabinets. The remotes from the TVs in the front bedrooms would not work correctly either. We have rented from this realty company for 20+ years and this is the most dissatisfied we have ever been both with the condition of the unit and the lack of timely response to the issues. "

"The rental process with Intracoastal was very professional. The Condo has a fishy smell when running water in kitchen and shower. The carpets in the bathrooms were dirty. The ironing board was broke. The light in the master bathroom was broke - they came to look at it and never came back during our stay so we showered with no light in the bathroom. The appliances were good and the kitchen was well maintained. "

"Not as happy with accomadations as we have been in the past. Dated condo, worn out kitchenware, dirty furnace intake vents, missing towel rods, pool floats and carts at front doors, noisy at night. None of these things have we ever experienced in our previous stays."

"This was our 3rd stay at Duneridge. DR1401 has a lot of good and definitely will rent again but here are a few complaints. 1) No light over the dining room table and the stand lamp bulb works erratically. 2) A few cushions on the dining room table are indented/worn out. 3) Leather couch cushions slope forward (worn or cheap?) 4) Fluorescent bulbs in Master Bath is just cheap and 2 were out. BTW when I checked the bulbs dirt and dust rained down from the fixture. Maybe clean this once every year? 5) There are plenty of pots and pans but they are becoming well worn. I'd throw most out and start new. Silverware was good. 6) Cleaning - this is my biggest disappointment we've found with Intracoastal. On arrival it was clear the floor hadn't been properly vacuumed, the fridge and kitchen cabinet surfaces were not very clean. I understand there is limited time between renters checking out and in but I'm kind of tired having to call and get the cleaning crew out when we just want to unpack and relax. 7) The Master shower head is not working properly and should be replaced. The shower stall itself is a design joke too. 8) The Q bed fitted sheet was so worn it wouldn't stay on (a call get this replaced the same day). 9) Many lamps are 3 way with partly blown bulbs or worse LED bulbs. Very annoying and shows that stuff isn't checked. Now I understand I could have called for everything I've listed but honestly besides the cleaning issue and maybe the showerhead everything else is just an inconvenience we could accept as normal for a rental late in the season and overall we liked DR1401 the best of our 3 stays at DR.
As others have noted the walk to the beach is as far as it gets BUT to me this was a plus as the corner unit view is worth the inconvenience. We liked the CATV in every room and the flat screen TV worked well. The patio furniture was excellent. While old the dishwasher and W/D worked good."

"Our family has stayed at Duneridge for several years. This was our first time in Unit 1401.
Overall, Duneridge is beautiful and very well maintained. Unit 1401 is one of the more upscale units in appearance. Leather couches, expensive countertops, high-quality appliances.
The king bed in the master bedroom, however, needs to be replaced, or better yet, burned. The mattress is only comfortable if you sleep in the very middle. My husband said he frequently felt like he was sliding off the side of the bed. If one person rolls over, the entire bed shakes and squeaks and the headboard bounces against the wall. Even with a washcloth between the headboard and the wall, the noise and motion from one person rolling over is terrible. I have slept in many condos, many hotels, and I haven't slept in a bed this worthless in the thirty years since I finished my undergraduate degree. I will add that neither my husband nor I is overweight.
The only reasons I am giving the stay a "2" instead of a "1" are: the ocean is beautiful, the unit was extremely clean, and the staff we met on the grounds were very nice and professional. It is impossible, however, to have a relaxing, enjoyable visit when you don't get enough sleep. As for the leather couch, it's not meant for sleeping on. Believe me, I tried.
If the headboard in the master bedroom photo is pale wood with a caned, woven center area, do not rent this unit. "

Do not believe bed in 2nd bedroom is a queen as advertised. 2 people could not fit. Had to have one son on coach in living room.
Condo needs to update/replace some kitchen suppplies, no pizza cutter, tongs, cookie sheet or large flat oven pan, no lids for larger frying pans
And no Dust Pan! Difficult to use broom without

"The property was good for our family. We enjoyed all of the space in the condo and the kids all enjoyed having a television in each bedroom! The spacious balcony was wonderful and the furniture on the balcony was sturdy and comfy. One drawback which may keep us from staying here in the future was the extremely long walk from the condo to the beach since this unit is the farthest one away from the one beach access at the complex. There should really be a beach access at the far end of the buildings. And for the first part of the week, the elevator was not working properly, adding some additional time to our "commute" to the beach. We may actually have had a shorter walk to the beach if we had stayed a block off of the beach, but would not have had the beautiful oceanfront view. The pool was a good size, but the posted pool rules were not enforced by the "guard" so there were wild kids jumping, running, and throwing things which prohibited us from enjoying the pool. The pool clubhouse restrooms were not cleaned all week, so by the end of the week they were completely gross! "
7/2/2015- We are glad this guest enjoyed their stay! We wish there was an access closer to the end units as well, but unfortunately Duneridge can only accommodate the one access in the middle of all the buildings at the pool. Next time we can arrange for this guest to stay in a unit right next to the access! The HOA is aware of the elevator issue and has been out to remedy the situations. We have made the HOA aware of the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Thank you for all the great feedback! KMF

6/22/15 We are so glad this guest enjoyed their stay! I contacted the outside WiFi provider after this guest departed to which they informed me they had a router down in that part of the building. It is up and running now so there should be no more WiFi issues in the future! KMF
"Overall we had a good stay at DR 1401. Love the condo and this was our 2nd time to stay in it. The condo was clean and well equipped, except the cable was not working. This issue was fixed in a few days and we were compensated slightly for the lack of cable. The main issue during our stay was that we were not told that a maintenance crew would be working on the outside facilities the week of our stay. The noise from maintenance being done on the outside of the resort - power washing, hammering, Genie lifting up & down - was constant. during the day. On rainy days because we were not on the beach, the noise was disruptive - even from inside the condo. We also had to walk around maintenance people and a mess on walkways and the elevator all day. We weren't offered an discount either. The next time we book, I will ask in advance if maintenance is planned for the week we are looking to travel to WB. "

"Our first condo three years ago was spotless and it was very obvious that a lot of thought had gone into the decor and the theme of the condo. This one was dated and very basic in furniture and design. Kitchen had been updated and we enjoyed that. Sliding glass door handle was broken when we arrived and main bathroom light was out for two days before it was fixed. The sulphar smell in the water was almost unbearable at times. Never experienced that previously. The positive was the added dining area with more windows. Did not feel cramped at all. Just felt that this unit was very expensive for being so standard. Favorite restaurants : The Pub, Dockside and Causeway Cafe...all 3 casual but excellent food. Pastries at Sweet and Savory by the Pub are fantastic!"

"Property has everything you need for a great vacation. Outdoor porch is large and relaxing. Elevator is quick. Pool is large and clean. Our unit was furnished wonderfully. Staff responded immediately to an odd key problem I encountered. The beach is not crowed. Location on north island is beautiful. A lot of positives."
"Wrightsville Beach is a great beach. Duneridge is a great complex. Pool is very nice and grounds are neat and clean. Unit 1401 is a end unit. Good shape with really good views. Had a few minor maintenance issues like a broken door handle and light bulbs out that we're surprising to find. Only 1 key available at check in. But not big deal."

"We asked several times for someone to fix the master bathroom showerhead, and were basically brushed off each time. The shower did not function and we all had to use the guest shower. Otherwise, the condo was in good shape and as described. Nothing fancy, just a good solid condo on the beach."
5/17 Will look into this with maintenance. They should have gone out ASAP so they had two working showers. Glad they liked the condo besides this small issue. CMM
"Suite had everything, or so it seemed, but then no wire for the dust buster. No broom, so hard to keep place clean. Elevator broke down on move out day so had to carry everything four floors. Property manager is there minimal hours on turnover days. Great pool. Beach access nice."

"Upon arrival, air conditioning was not working. Door handle to outside deck was broken and could not open the door. Paint on walls was marked up in several rooms, lamp shade was missing, floor very dirty, cigarette butt outside, dishwasher was not working properly and would put a film on all the dishes and my son's baby bottles. Cochroach like bugs crawling around in kitchen. Property was too far away from pool and beach. Would never stay here again. Paid way too much $ for what I thought was newly renovated and a prime property. I felt miss lead on information given about property. I had to go meet with property manager to complain. I understand all issues were too small by themselves but they made for an unhappy vacation with an expensive price tag. No compensation was given except an offed to fix such items that were addressed in discussion. Very unhappy. Felt like we deserved a discount in some way or some monetary compensation for unclean, unkempt and far away property. We vacation at Wrightsville every year. We will not return here ever!!!!"
So sorry this guest had such a poor experience. This owner has done extensive upgrades , and responded to all guest feedback. We did go out and address the issues reported, but unfortunately that did not satisfy the guest completely. Look forward to having this guest again.

"We have been spending family vacations in Wrightsville Beach for many years, despite the long drive from Maryland. We have stayed in several different locations over the years and Duneridge is one of our favorites. Unit 1401 was redecorated just this year and everything was very nice. The kitchen was especially new and updated with great appliances. We especially love the balconies at Duneridge and since my husband now has rather bad back problems we sat on the balcony most days and only went down to the beach on a couple of occasions which was perfectly fine. We were able to see the rest of the family enjoying themselves on the beach and kept in touch via our cell phones - the benefits of modern technology! The breeze out there was delightful. The pool at this resort is also very nice and was never very crowded. I would highly recommend Duneridge to anyone wishing to stay in Wrightsville Beach. "

"1401 has a front row view of the Atlantic from the living room and master bedroom. The unit was a great layout for my husband, myself and our 4, 20 something kiddos. The condo was clean and furnished nicely but a little peach, balcony furniture was a little flimsy. The beach access from 1401 is a long walk. I wouldn't recommend it for seniors or those with small kids. 1401 is a great location on Wrightsville beach. We'll return! "
