"Needed new pillows and the beds were hard to sleep in. Pool closed and was disappointed not to be able to use. Construction noises were loud in the next unit and was not told this would be happening next door."
"We had to evacuate early because of Hurricane. We only were there 3 days. The condo was nice unit except for furnishings in living room. They needed to be up dated. Otherwise everything else was great and location was perfect to walk to everything."

"We've been staying at Station One for 25 years and this was the best unit yet. Recently renovated, it's very clean and comfortable, with all necessary amenities, and a very well equipped kitchen. We asked if we could check in a little early and were accommodated. We got immediate help when we had trouble logging on to the Wi-Fi system. TV was a little complicated, but we eventually figured it out. Lovely setting, wonderful views. We'll be back!"
"Location was great. Walked to most meals and fun. Property was clean and well maintained. Condo was clean and had most anything that we needed. Master bed was a little worn and hard. Pillows were old and flat but we used the ones on the other beds which helped. Furniture is a little worn but comfortable. "

"Our stay was wonderful. The unit was very clean inside & upgraded. We were comfortable & close to everything.

"Our unit was very accommodating. The good points are the kitchen supplies, the proximity to the restaurants and the view. The issues were the 2nd bedroom with the queen and single needs a new mattress on the queen - it slopes to the middle. The main bathroom in the hall had a clogged drain so your shower turned into a bath. The unit wasn't cooling when we first arrived due to a completely clogged filter. There were only 4 dining room chairs and we had 5 staying the week with one of the chairs being unstable.

More important - ridiculous to find no sheets or towels unless I paid extra once there (at this price, absolutely should be provided). AND there was no shampoo, only a small bar of soap and very cheap TP. Also frustrated to find laundry was coin operated down the hall. Bottom line: condo is great, management company seems to cut corners."
So sorry this guest had issues! Unfortunately all of these issues are listed on and/or in tenant contract. Linens are provided for weekly rentals and if guests would like linens we can provide them and have them in the unit before guest checks in. "Our experience was very good and we enjoyed the accommodations. The condo was very nice and quiet. It was very comfortable and clean with good amenities. When it rained the walkways were wet and often times puddles formed. The walkways became slippery. Most frequently on the fifth floor puddles formed in front of both elevators and you had to jump over them to get in the elevators. We told the management with limited success to sweep the puddles away and they did put some salt on the ice when the puddles froze during a 4 day cold front. Most doors were not the easiest to open in the public spaces and often times the garbage disposal doors were impossible to open. Generally I would say we very much enjoyed our stay, however If I were an owner I would insist on improved building maintenance over the winter months."

"We always have a wonderful time spending our family vacation at Wrightsville Beach, NC and this year was no exception. Station One is a great place to stay, my husband and his family have frequented it since the early 90's. The Farrior was a beautiful condo and we would certainly stay there again.
When we arrived, right at 4:00, there was a little bit of a wait. This is understandable, but still frustrating when considering that you are having to pay for a full day's stay on the day of arrival. I do wish that it would have been a little cleaner than it was. Both restrooms had hair clogging up the drains and left over toiletries from the previous guest lying in the shower, which made you wonder if the bathroom had been cleaned.
Another point that my family has spoken of for years is the mannerisms and behavior of the on-site security guards. I appreciate the difficulty and importance of their job, but the job requirement does not dictate for them to be rude and unfriendly. Would it be too much to ask for a security guard, who is standing right at the door, to open it for a mother who is holding an infant, with bags of groceries and trying to open the door with her key? It just seems like common decency would urge you to you help someone open a door when they know they are staying at Station One and obviously are struggling with the door. My husband said it has been like this for decades.
Ending on a positive note, we absolutely love Wrightsville Beach and Station One and plan to come back every year, whether we stay at Station One or another Intracoastal property. We would also like to praise the town for fixing the beach so beautifully in front of Station One.

"We had a wonderful time. The kids enjoyed it. The only issue we had was the bannister on the balcony is spaced very widely apart. Both my 2 and 4 year olds could fit through them. That was a concern with having small children.

"We have been staying at Station One for 7 years and in 5I Farrior for the past 5 years. We love 5I and enjoy staying there every year and will continue to stay in that condo. This year we were a little disappointed in who we had to deal with to get our keys and not being able to get access or check in till 4pm. Everyone was checking in at the same time and there were not carts available, the line to park near the door was long and it was just mass confusion. In the past we were able to get a key to access the property and get to the beach. We were told we could not get one this year till 4pm. When I arrived about 11:30am I was greeted by a surprised look and was told I was extremely early as check in was not till 4pm. I understand things have changed and are in the process of changing, but you can't have everyone check in at the same time. The property is not equipped to handle it. Plus, if you change the person who hands out the keys then they should be knowledgeable and customer focused, she was neither. Also for whatever reason the mens room by the pool was locked and the womens room was not. Plus, the key fob by the pool did not work the entire week we were there. And on Friday when we were all just coming up from the beach and hanging out by the pool there was a cleaning crew cleaning a balcony. The man who was doing the cleaning on the balcony was rude to us and other guests as he stated we could not come in nor go under where he was cleaning. He was cleaning with chemicals and didn't warn anyone. Security showed up and he wanted the security guard to close the pool down. She would not, which was appreciated, but he was extremely rude. He should have communicated/warned everyone by the pool as to what he was doing, how long it would take and why. It could have avoided the incident."
8/1 I'm sorry this guest didn't understand our check in procedures. Our staff is very knowledgeable and customer service oriented. Check in does begin at 4:00pm, my staff is correct. When a unit is available earlier than 4:00pm we call right away to notify guests that units are ready early. We do check-ins all through out the day, but cannot give out keys before a unit is ready for liability purposes. This has always been policy and has not changed recently. This guest was given parking passes and beach and pool keys so they could access these amenities while waiting for the unit to be ready. As for the other concerns with locked doors and the pool, those are issues we will discuss with the HOA. We unfortunately do not control those areas, but we will be sure to have these issues addressed by them. We look forward to having these guests again next year, hopefully they won't be surprised by our check in procedures again. CMM

"5-I was a wonderful unit for view, updates, cleanliness. However, the furniture was not ideal for three months stay...except for twin mattress/box springs, the others were too worn and soft; the "straw" chairs were too unstable, the floor lamp shade was melted to point of being unsightly, the table shade/lamp ill fitting for each other; the pictures on the wall were way too numerous and no theme except "have it so hang it!" The kitchen was very well equipt. Tile floors, a great idea. We would want in-unit laundry next stay.
Station One itself...something needs to be done to keep water from pooling in front of elevator doors. Unit front doors need painting..or at least a good cleaning. Ridiculous for ice to have remained on parking lot two days..why was it not treated? Flags out front looked shabby...a real negative. Building kept locked up well...very good safety feature. Someone fell short when it came to notifying us about floral delivery...poinsettia got to us a week after Christmas..friend who sent it died before she heard from us thanking her. No excuse! We should have been called the time it arrived. Mail service at WB was not good...blame WB or USPS in general?!"

"Great location and facility. Weather could have been better. Master bedroom and master bathroom in our unit are combined in a way that prevents privacy. It is a walk through the toilet and shower (glass doors) area to get from the living area to the master bedroom. "

Have been staying in Wrightsville for 5-7 years and never had someone approach me on the beach and telling me that there's a citation for having an open container. Not sure what has changed?"

"Station One is a great location and that is why we returned to the complex. We loved the unit we rented in the past. The Farrior unit 5-I needs some works. Here are the pros and cons:
*Location is great
*kitchen remodel is nice
*bathrooms have been remodeled but the master bath has a very odd layout-needs door for privacy
*3 nice flatscreen tvs
*AC was not working properly-had service call but it was not repaired during our stay - I understand it has been repaired after we left
*Refrigerator is not large enough - it is an apartment size and it took 24 overnight to cool our food - we didn't sleep the first night worrying about it
*Furnishings are worn and very not very inviting - unit could use some rugs
*Mattress in master bedroom was very low quality and not comfortable
*No t-paper, trash bags and dish washing detergent provided
*No phone in unit
*No clocks in unit
*Internet access was not provided to us - we had to call and get from rental company"
All repairs items were taken care of immediately. Guest evidently had some expectations that were not available. Our unit review at the end of the season will address any issues that can improve the unit. TJ
