"The condo was nice. The couch is uncomfortable and should be replaced. The furniture on the deck ruined 2 of our beach towels, 2 shirts and a pair of pajamas. The furniture is iron which is inherently going to rust in an outdoor saltwater environment. The rust is very hard to see until you see the imprint of the chair design stained on your clothes. The rest of the condo was great. Access to the condo itself was fine but we couldn't access the gate from beach or any exterior building for nearly 3 days. Nobody provided us with separate keys for that and apparently the owners of our condo changed the locks and the bldg management didn't know. "
Thank you for your feedback. The owner has replaced the living room sofa and much of the great room furniture with new furniture. There is also a new balcony furniture set that will not rust. And the lock issue is now resolved MEC 8/18

"This is the 3rd year we have stayed at station one. I understand each owner equips their unit as they see fit, but the room was a disappointment. First the room was not that clean. There was sand on the floors and coffee table. There was a coffee maker but no coffee pot, a blender but no base to blend anything on. Garbage disposal did not work. The master room bed was horrible & to even turn over made the bed frame squeak. White bedspread & shower curtain had stained pink all over. Condo in general looks like something the owner rents out but would not stay in themselves. If they do I would be surprised. I am not sure if some of this is not intercoastal realties issue. "

"Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Station One. We visited years ago, before, children, and knew we would be happy with the location. The unit itself was clean, comfortable and well equipped. However, there was one glaring issue with the building itself that was obvious to us within minutes of arriving. The railing spindles are so far apart that my 2 year old could fit his head through the slats. If his head can fit through, so can his body. We were on our first trip up to the condo from our car as we unpacked and my son was excited to be up on the 6th floor, so he peeked through the slats in the hallway to get a view. To our horror, his head went all the way through. The railings are the same in all the condos as they are in the hallway. Needless to say, it was difficult to keep a curious 2 year old away from all the railings for 7 days. My husband asked one of the workers about it and it was told to us that the building was grandfathered in, so they are not up to 2016 building codes. We loved our stay at the property and love Wrightsville beach, but we will NOT return to the property (and couldn't possibly recommend it to friends with young children) until the building manager fixes this glaring safety hazard."

"Unit was very clean and updated nicely. Intracoastal and Station1 staff were fantastic, especially Samantha and Lisa S as well as Kevin the maintenance guy and the security office guys. Very nice people - they helped make this vacation a pleasure. The only issues I could mention are (1) one of the balcony chairs was ripped and not useable, (2) the TV in the smaller bedroom didn't get any channels, (3) the pool maintenance guy was running a leafblower right under our bedroom window at around 8am almost every morning. None of these is a huge problem, more of a minor annoyance. "

"The Condo was great. The pool was clean, nice landscaping and well maintained. The beach and ocean were clean. Very nice stay, very nice people at the condo. I felt very welcome. As far as on the beach, it was quite different. One afternoon while at the beach we had clouds move in and it looked like it might rain. The Lifeguards pulled out their flags and left the beach, no notice, no warning, they just left. There were still hundreds of people on the beach and in the water. Wow, the sun came back out after few minutes, the lifeguards returned about an hour later. Very strange way to protect the beach goers. Bunch of wimps I think? The city of Wrightsville could use a few new members on their rule making staff. No beer on the beach? Really, they find the money to hire beer police, have them walk around and check everyones cooler? They have other beer police drive their air conditioned trucks up and down the beach looking for beer containers? Seems a bit excessive. We've been vacationing many years in Wrightsville and we love the town, the restaurants, the shopping and of course the "Wings" store. Unfortunately we and our friends will be looking for a new beach to take our yearly vacation. One that makes you feel welcome and not monitored while on the beach. I can deal with the wimpy lifeguards, but the constant monitoring and threats of $100. fines form the beer police on the beach? "
