"Lets start with, the views were beautiful! The property needs updates, especially the carpeting and paint in the bedrooms. The pink in all the bedrooms was quite a lot. The 10:00 check out is way too early. Also, the elevators were like service elevators and I can't imagine in peak season how much time you must spend waiting for an elevator. The fire alarm in the building went off during the middle of the night and we thought it was a car alarm to find out a lot of people evacuated even though it was a false alarm. This unit is so far on the end and the building is so old, it just sounded like a car alarm down on the street so we ignored it. Thank goodness it wasn't a real fire! The location is good and the beaches are beautiful but would not stay here again."

"It was a perfect spot for spending Thanksgiving together. We can only get together once a year so this was a special time and fun was had by all. The views are incredible and perfect for viewing the flotilla and fireworks. Although there was damage from the storm, we still had a perfect holiday!"
"Our stay at Station One’s 6 K Howard unit was great as always. We had it booked for a month , second year in a row. The views and location is the best. We were interrupted by Hurricane Florence and had to evacuate for 11 days. Intracoastal Realty was very professional and reimbursed our 11 days. Even though we had to deal with some aftermath of the storm such as water quality not good in the ocean and restaurants being closed, we still made the best of it. The only negative about the unit is it’s getting to the point it needs updating. Overall, a good experience."
"We 5 had a very relaxing week enjoying the beach, time with friends and family, and the spectacular views from this unit. Beds were comfortable and showers drained well, often a problem with beach units. Everything in the unit works pretty well. Only a few minor issues. The compact but workable kitchen is fairly well stocked with useful equipment although the knives were dangerously dull, and there were few food storage containers. There was no hair dryer. The dining room chair seats are uncomfortable and should be fixed. "

"Visiting Wrightsville Beach for the first time and unfortunately chose this unit for the beautiful view and location but ended up being very disappointed because of the maintenance issues. Overall things you would not expect for this price tag. Property Management company was available and professional but unfortunately their solutions were not adequate. We spent sleepless nights listening to street noise and leaks. When we advised them of our dissatisfaction, they did apologize and offer us $100 for our troubles which was a nice token but not enough to make up for the disturbances to our vacation. I would probably stay at this property again because of the location but not this unit. "

"We have been renting units at Station One for 30 years! We have been renting 6k for over 15 years. We are signed up for next year as well. It was nice to see updated bed covers this year. Everyone was polite and friendly. We had our first grandchild with us, 5 weeks old, and were very thankful that the unit was ready early this year. Everything worked this year and there were no cockroaches as in years past. We love the views from this unit and furniture inside and on the balcony. Kitchen is adequate and roomy. Some water on floor under refrigerator. We had a lot of food to load. Wish we could have 3 parking passes for a 3 bedroom as our girls are now adults, driving their own cars down. So glad that 6k is still renting!and Roberts grocery, restaurants and ice cream parlors are so close. "

"Nice view of the south end, but this condo has not been updated at all--compared to the 2-BR next door, there is a world of difference. Also, the kitchen is not well stocked with pots, pans, etc. I dont think we would stay there again.Also, they need a mesh similar to the condo next door for the railings--I'm sure they are no longer up to code for small children."

"Very nice & had an enjoyable week at the beach"
"We rented a three bedroom unit and were immediately denied 3 parking passes. This was very disconcerting since the bedrooms were to be occupied by adult children from different areas. While this was rectified eventually, I do not understand why this was a problem since parking has never been an issue in the 15 previous years we have stayed there."
"The condos are very nice but there were a few issues we had. I don't know how thorough the cleaning process is, but there were various items under my bed that were not ours. One was a packet of baby food. The floor in the kitchen was not that clean either.
We were also surprised at the lack of hangers. If you are from out of town, bring hangers!
The unit itself needs to be refreshed. There was a lot of chipped paint on walls and cabinets, etc. Another person who saw the unit said it could use an upgrade. "

"Love the views this unit offers. Have stayed here multiple times. Great property. Only complaints: stove VERY dirty. Yried my best to clean it before I left to no avail. Stove oven did not heat evenly. Dish washer did not thoroughly clean dishes. Had to redo by hand."

"We have stayed at Station One in various condos since 1992. The property at 6K is one of our favorites, primarily for the view. It was nice to see some of the utilities updated, new blinds, and new bathroom fixtures. The carpets were pretty filthy, as were a lot of the plates and silverware, but that always seems to be the case. We reported what was unsatisfactory or broken on the back of our key packet. The real disappointment this year was in the lack of personal service we received from Intracoastal. We have worked with Kathy Hill for years who had an office at Station One. She was always very friendly and helpful. This year we had impersonal emails from a variety of Intracoastal employees, none of whom seemed particularly friendly, and no office on site. When we provided feedback to the manager, he made a weak attempt at an apology without any specific steps he would be taking to improve matters. It's a pity that Station One can't operate independently of Intracoastal."
We're very sorry she had some issues. Our guests are contacted day of to notify them of where to pick up keys, I'm sorry if she did not get our messages. The emails referenced are to help prepare our guests for their stay as best we can. Intracoastal will be back onsite at Station One early 2015, we are doing construction on this office to make it more guest friendly. Hopefully she will enjoy our new office her next stay.

"This 3-bedroom condo was perfect for our vacation. It had breath-taking views of both the ocean and the intercoastal waterway. It was nice that the linens were included with the week reservation. Station One is centrally located and walking distance to many restaurants. The pool was nice, though, many of the lounge chairs needed some of the straps replaced. Overall, though, it was a great place to stay. "

"We love coming to Wrightsville Beach. My parents met there! My family has been coming for 50 years. We love the views from 6K and have been coming there for approximately 10 years. We love the beach size, pool and new storage area for chairs. Station One has a good location for us, near Robert's, Wings and good restaurants. Even when the weather is cloudy, I visit with cousins and a former colleague who lives in town. Oleander mall is close and the Cotton Exchange is good fun. We often see the aquarium at Fort Fisher and take the ferry to Southport. Unfortunately our two girls are now grown and we can only manage one week with their work schedules, but we all love coming to the beach!"

"wonderful view and comfortable furniture. Kitchen cabinets were full and no where to put our groceries. A key pad with a code would be better than always having to have a key.Many light bulbs were burned out."

"This unit really needs an upgrade. It is not as appealing as other units in which we have stayed. It does have a beautiful view of the ocean and sound, but it certainly could be improved upon as far as decorating, furniture, kitchen , etc."

"We have stayed in the 6k unit of Station One for many years. We like the location and views. It is sad to see its deterioration. For the second year we have had cockroaches in the unit. There are threadbare chair cushions in the dining room with the underseat covers hanging down. Spots on the main living rug, we found stains on the second bedroom duvet. It is sad, because this was once a beautifully decorated unit with upscale furnishings. We unfortunately love the ocean, sound and south beach views. I have been coming to Wrightsville for over 50 years as my parents first met there during WWII and took us back each year. We have cousins from Dr. Jim Robertson, my great uncle, to visit when we come, so going elsewhere is not really an option for our family. I wish you could pass along the sadness we feel when staying in this unit."

"Despite St I help, we never were successful in having a good internet connection.Not good for professional people! The coffee maker was filled with mold from a while back--then replaced with a old unit that leaked all over the daughter and her husband could not get into the condo due to the difficult lock--I cut myself twice on the lock since it is so difficult to deal with. The condo did not have some basic cooking needs as hot mitts, steamer tray, etc. I had to request a bath tub stopper since we had two small children with us who needed baths.However, Kathy Hill is wonderful to deal with--she just needs better support to accomplish what needs to be done.The unit in which we stayed could use some repairs and renovation.We have been coming to St I over the last 30 yrs and this is the worst shape it has been in that I can remember."

"Extremely disappointing. A ton of little things that could easily be fixed. Not one clothes hanger in the entire condo. Missing knob on trash closet. Had to grab bare screw to open. The missing/broken panels in the shades over sliding glass doors (2) was ridiculous. We had to hang blanket in master just for privacy. Multiple wall corner protectors fallen off and laying on floor. No trash bags (would expect to find for short rentals). Wall paper is just worn out and hanging loose at seams. At $450+ per night I expected much more. For just two nights worth of rent, all of this could be fixed and properly maintained. I was disappointed in the owner and Intracoastal for having this unit in such shape and making no effort to fix. Would not rent this unit again nor recommend it."

"The unit we stayed in was very dated. Needs new windows and doors. Some are broken and others dont seal at all. The master bedroom is very noisy in the middle of the night after the bars let out due to the old doors and windows."

The layout and views are amazing. It is a beach rental with smaller issues. Dining room furniture is beautiful but worn. Front door closes only with lock. Thanks for new refrig. and coffee maker. Vertical blinds didn't work.
Closet door in bedroom is inoperable. Balcony furniture is worn. Would not trade this place for another because of the views!"

Despite Ritz-Carlton prices, we had to bring our own sheets, towels, and many supplies.The rental agency needs to be more competetive and make this a great experience. "We have stayed at 6-K before and always loved the views. The apartment is in an excellent location and nicely furnished, except for the king bed in the back bedroom (the frame and cover are awful). This time, however, we found most of the dishes and pans and silverware in the kitchen in need of washing, and the apartment in general need of a thorough cleaning. The blinds in the back room were broken as well. Also, there were almost no hangers in the closets. We pointed these things out to the Howards when they came by, so I'm sure that everything will be fixed before our next visit."
We will discuss with the owner the items mentioned. And the unit should have had hangers in it. But, we are glad that you enjoyed your stay in WB.

"This was our second stay at St1. The positives were the location, facility set up, and the floor plan. The areas that need improvement are: sliding glass door needs adjustment (it is very hard to open and close) and regular home maintenance needs attention
(ie caulking, painting, plumbing work, carpet cleaning). "

"When we arrived, we were informed the A/C was not working in the unit. This was a disappointing welcome since last year we had multiple A/C issues with another unit. However, they were able to fix it the first night.....would have been better to have it
fixed when we arrived. Otherwise loved the unit - but the counters and deck furniture were not clean - I had to re-clean it. Also - not enough TP to even get through 1 day which is annoying when you travel so far - you don't want to shop right away."

Our main complaint is that a unit that sleeps 6 or 7 people only had 2 keys. That was a problem throughout the week since you must have keys to come and go on the property and the beach. Station One needs a new system for this issue. Also there needs to be an ice machine on each floor as the main one on the ground floor was empty most of the week.
Our realtor and the property management were wonderful!"
