Bitter End

Absolutely fantastic! This beach house exceeded all of our expectations and provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable vacation. Nestled just steps away from the pristine shoreline, the location is unbeatable. Waking up to the soothing sounds of waves and watching the sunrise from the spacious deck was a daily highlight. The house itself is beautifully designed, blending modern amenities with charming coastal decor. The living area is open and airy, offering plenty of space for our group to relax and enjoy each other's company. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare delicious meals, and we loved dining al fresco on the deck with the ocean as our backdrop. Bedrooms are comfortable and thoughtfully decorated, each offering stunning views and cozy beds that made for restful nights. The bathrooms are clean and well-appointed, adding to the overall comfort of our stay. We appreciated the little touches that made our stay extra special, like the beach chairs provided, as well as the assortment of board games for indoor entertainment. The hosts were incredibly responsive and provided us with great recommendations for local restaurants and activities. The nearby beach access was a major plus, allowing us to enjoy the sand and surf without the crowds. We spent our days swimming, sunbathing, and exploring the nearby tide pools. Evenings were magical, with spectacular sunsets that we watched from the deck or while strolling along the shore. In summary, this beach house is a true gem. It offers everything you could want for a relaxing and enjoyable beach getaway. We can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories here. Highly recommended!

The Bitter End is a great vacation rental and truly a “home away from home”. The house has everything, even all the beach essentials. The owners and management team were attentive and a pleasure to work with. If you need something, they were on top of it. The house is spacious. We had three families, all with kids, and were able to have our own space without being on top of each other. The Bitter End is in a great location, just minutes from the market, shops, marina, and BHI Club. The sunset views from the deck were amazing and you’re steps away from beach access. Will stay again.

We were comfortable in this house on our rainy week at BHI. The kitchen is well appointed for non-complex cooking. The distance to the beach is good as well as the chairs and boogie boards available. The only complaint is that the odor in the crofter unit rendered it unusable the week we were there. It could have been new paint that will dissipate over time, I’m sure. Overall, thanks for a great stay!

Crofter Update: The owner took extra measures and had the crofter HVAC system cleaned. No issues have been detected or reported for almost two years.

Great space for large groups and kids of all ages. Kitchen is spacious and beds are comfortable. A couple of small negatives I’m the details that take away - the second (lesser master suite on the first floor) has no dresser at all and maybe 8 hangers. This rental is not cheap and expecting the renter to live out of their travel bag off the floor for a week is not cool (not when you’re paying 11k!) . No blow dryers, no full length mirrors anywhere, limited extra blankets.

They are adding additional hairdryers, hangers, mirrors, and a dresser to the downstairs master for future rentals.
