Harbor View

The rental had absolutely everything for a wonderful stay--the kitchen was well-equipped with lots of dishes and pots and pans, there were bikes, beach chairs, boogie boards, fishing rods and sand toys. We enjoyed the covered dock and sound side beach as we brought our kayaks; the deck gave us a great view of Banks Channel as well. The location was good, a short walk to the ocean and close to downtown WB and the Blockade Runner.

We loved staying in this rental. It was the perfect location and size for our group. Everything was spotless when we arrived and we LOVED the view. Parking can be a little confusing because you can access the driveway from both sides of the house, but not a big problem. I was surprised that we had to pick up an actual key from the management company (and drop it off upon departure). For such a modern, renovated house I would have expected a keypad. I use VRBO fairly often and really appreciate houses with self-check-in. Overall, we loved the house and would definitely stay there again.

A beautiful view of the bay and sunsets. A very simple & short walk to the beach. We were there due to a family death, the house accommodated our family (all from out of town) dinners without any problem. Only issue is the HVAC quit working mid-week. We'd definitely rend it again!

Had a wonderful Fall week with family and friends. The sunsets each night were nothing short of amazing. Having use of the dock with boat lift was great for storing boat after fishing. House and kitchen had everything we needed to just sit back and relax. Thank you to the owners for sharing the house with us and the Intracoastal Staff for making our stay one to remember.

This is an older property-no recent upgrades. The location makes up for that! Wonderful harbor views with a dock and a side ocean view. Close walkway to the beach next to the Blockade Runner. It's an upper unit of a duplex-we found the lower level owners to be very nice. Be sure to use the stairway- Lumina oceanside-located in the laundry room-it keeps you from interfering with the downstairs neighbors on their deck. Would rent again.

This house was great and the view was spectacular. I came down for the week with my girlfriend and it was a large residence for just the two of us but we enjoyed the open space. The top deck is amazing for a cup of coffee and especially for an evening cocktail as there is no better place to watch the sunset on the island than here since the sun sets over Dockside in the distance. I did not bring my boat down like i originally intended but the dock was nice and boat lift worked however there was no room to pull a boat up and tie it to the dock. You either have to lift the boat or anchor it if the tide is low. The condition of the house was great although the sofas are a bit older. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances and we were able to cook with plenty of space. All in all, this is a great 3 bedroom place with a spectacular view. The center of the action (famous beach bars, Robert's Grocery, Tower 7, Sweetwater Surf Shop) is a short walk or bike ride (they have 2 bikes at the house which was not advertised at all) which make this a great stay and I will be back.

The property was comfortable, clean and has wonderful views. The only negative comment that I would add is regarding the kitchen and cooking utensils. It's definitely not a "cook's kitchen" as the kitchen is very small and very limited on eating utensils. (only 6 dinner forks and 3 teaspoons). Also the dishwasher did not clean very well, I had to handwash many things once I emptied it.

Reserving property was a very simple process. Check in and check out quick and convenient.
Location of property cannot be beat. Easy beach access. Great outdoor spaces for dining and lounging. Fully equipped kitchen and laundry. House is very spacious and beds and furnishings are comfortable.

This place has the best stocked kitchen I've ever experienced in a rental. The only down side to that is there is very little room to store your food. There were also some beach chairs and 2 bikes available for use in the storage room downstairs.

The beds were great quality which is also hard to find in a rental. The layout of the place is great with everything on one level including a large laundry area.

I enjoyed having the sound view and easy access to the beach.

Great location, convenient to the beach and the surrounding restaurants and shopping. Large covered deck with multiple seating areas very nice. All the cooking utensils and dishes you could use. Furniture looking a little worn.

House location is in very good spot..ocean out back and covered pier out front..all of the neighbors were very cordial/nice...other than a invasion by ants on first night...house is well maintained and love windows and natural light...especially in mornings

Had a fantastic place staying at Harbor View and, yes, the name says it all. Loved being able to sit on the spacious deck and watch all the boats go by. Very close proximity to the beach as well which was a plus.

Enjoyed vacationing at Wrightsville Beach and this property is perfect if you want to enjoy both the sound and the beach. Great location for both. The rental property is laid out nicely with plenty of room, the kitchen well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses and silverware. Picture perfect sunsets can be enjoyed from the front porch or the pier.Plan to visit again sometime.

The reservationists were not very responsive. I asked for an early check-in by emailing and I had to all in order to get a response. The reservationinsts were nice, but not the most helpful people.

Our main complaints were with the kitchen -- the freezer stopped freezing midway thru the week, so we were buying ice and throwing out ice cream. Thankfully we had not planned to freeze shrimp! The refrigerator was less cold than it should have been also -- we were afraid to eat leftovers after a day or so. Even though the icemaker never did make ice efficiently, we didn't notice this until mid-week. We realize we should have called about it earlier. On our last day the dishwasher started acting up and would not complete the cycle. although it had worked fine earlier. Not too bad as we just washed and dried by hand on that last night.
Also, I hope that the owners will buy a new double size mattress for the bottom full- bed bunk. We had a teenager sleeping there and the mattress was so thin and lumpy -- not satisfactory, so we had to put him on the pull-out sofa. I would have preferred keeping him in the bedroom. Top bunk was fine for our 8 year old and all the other mattresses in the house were good. The mattress pad needs to replaced on the double-size bunk and they need washing on the other beds. The swivel chair in the living room had come apart and did not have all it's parts to repair it. It was too wobbly to use safely. I remember that chair was a problem last summer also.
I dislike complaining because we had a great time and really enjoyed the house for the 2nd summer. With these problems attended to we definitely would like to rent The Harbor View again and would recommend it to friends as well. Vicki was a great agent! She mentioned wishing we had called the rental office earlier about the kitchen problems, as we should have done. In any event, we very much enjoyed the house,the porch, & the dock. The location and the view were great!

We really appreciate this feedback and input. I know that our appliance tech has been out to look at these items since, and I believe has made the needed repairs. We will be making recommendations this off season for better quality control, mattresses being one of the items we're judging. If it is in bad shape, we will recommend replacing. Will let housekeeping know about the mattress pads, that is something that is done as needed.

The property was very attractive with a well furnished kitchen. Great location overlooking the sound with gorgeous sunsets. Nice to have dock access across the street. The house is probably due for a bit of updating such as replacement of steps going to the street. The lower bunk mattress in the kids' bedroom was awful--just sunk in the middle. Bathroom wall plug did not work. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay and we would happily return.

Marie was absolutely wonderful to work with and so helpful with information about the area. One of the best reservationists I'd ever worked with! We really liked the house and the location. Loved being on the channel with dock access - they had a hammock there and furniture. We enjoyed crabbing and the beautiful sunsets there. Great house as well - only drawback was to get upstairs you had to go through first floor deck area - a little awkward...or go up back stairs, which were pretty dingy, unlike the rest of the property. Otherwise, nice house with pretty views,clean, and convenient location.

We found the property very spacious. The kitchen was well appointed. The deck was spacious and had plenty of comfortable seating. The location was perfect, being so centrally located.Overall I would rate our experience at 4.5 out of 5.

We have been renting houses in Wrightsville Beach for twenty years. We love this house, have rented it for the past six years, and have already reserved it for next year. Two of the bedrooms are well appointed with king size beds and ample closet space.
The third bedroom, while smaller, also has a nice size closet. All the bedrooms have televisions and the deck has a million dollar view. Initially it was newly decorated and in very good condition. Over the years the wear and tear has become evident. The living
room furniture is stained as well as the carpet. The bathrooms could use updating, and one of the dresser handles continues to be is disrepair despite repeated reporting of the problem. Many of the houses we have considered as an alternative at this point
do offer high speed internet access. This would be a great addition to this property. One of things we love about Wrightsville is the warm, personal feeling that this small beach community exudes. Whether having breakfast at the Causeway Café, shopping in
Redix, or dining at 22 North one feels at home. In our experience, over the years Intracoastal Realty has evolved from a customer oriented, friendly, welcoming establishment to a corporate environment. This can be seen in both its customer relations as well
as its financial practices. In the past, reserving a property required a fee that was later applied to the total cost of the rental. Now, the policy is that the fee to reserve is merely for the “privilege” of reserving and not applied to the property rental.
We highly recommend Wrightsville Beach!
