The first floor is the main living area - a spacious kitchen with an island and bar seating, a dining room with plenty of seating for great family meals, and a comfortable living room with a 55" Smart TV, perfect for movie nights! But the main attraction is the oceanfront covered-deck where you can settle into a rocking chair with your favorite book, calm your thoughts as you marvel at the vastness of the ocean, the majestic flights of the birds, or the unbelievable beauty of a full moon over a symphony of waves. This floor also has a bedroom (queen) and a full bath.

Recent Reviews About This Property

"We loved our time at Dolphin View! The house was perfect for our needs. We have a large family and were very comfortable there. The beach was beautiful. There is a lifeguard stand right there on 'our beach' and a public parking area nextdoor for the days we had friends come visit, although there was plenty of parking at the house also. Intracoastal was great to work with - Helen Gainer accurately assessed our family needs and found the perfect place for us. Being right on the beach was perfect for the young kids to run back and forth to the house, and being near the pier was fun for the teens to go play pool and 'hang out'. We will definitely be returning and look forward to working again with Helen and Intracoastal."

"Nice house, great location, great view. We actually saw dolphins every day."

"House and location were great. Water was exciting, restaurants good. Maintenance items: dryer very slow; shower door in bath on 2nd floor comes off track; need more towel racks in baths."

Elizabeth W. from Chapel Hill, 07/17/2017

"House was within walking distance of the town, which is always a plus. It is right by a lifeguard stand, great if you have children. We thought that being next to a public beach access would be a negative, however it was no problem at all. The garage was filled with beach equipment but seeing that the description does not state that we brought all our own. We had a toddler with us and brought baby gates. If you are bringing young children you definitely need something for the stairs. All in all we had a great time.

We did call the property management when we first got there. The guests before us left many plastic bags filled with garbage inside the garage. Someone did come right away to pick-up the garbage.

Our biggest problem was ants. Those gel traps that were in the house is a no no for young children or small dogs. In all fairness we did not call management to deal with them because of the children and the dog. I tried to keep up with them with spray cleaner and cloroax wipes. I really think it needs to be professionally done.

lastly ask pet owners not to leave food or treats all over the garage or decking, it may be detrimental to the next pet that comes to visit.

I would rent this house again.

"Great week even though shortened a day by Irma. Best equipped rental house ever with pantry full of incidentals. "

"Great trip - great experience with IRC."

"We enjoyed our stay at Dolphin View. The kitchen is great for cooking at home, and there were lots of beach chairs and beach equipment provided. The covered porches were our favorite spot. The traffic on the main road wasn’t too loud, and having a lifeguard station right in front of the house was a nice perk. "

"Dolphin View was well stocked for our large group. The house was very clean and organised made it easy to relax. The unit had plenty of parking. Loved have private beach access and life guard stand right in front the house. We had an amazing week we will rent this home again."

"The house had a lot of issues. The coffee makers didn’t work. I bought a new one and left it for next renter. It was a house for dogs but had carpets something that I wouldn’t do. Your rental site did not mention that Kure Beach where the hose is located never permits dogs on the beach in the summer, that would have changed my choice. Lastly two of the shower doors fell off during use. The master bathroom shower door fell off and dropped directly on my toe requiring a trip to urgent care. Summary too many issues not addressed."

"We had a wonderful time at this beach house! Would book this again. View was spectacular; water and sand terrific; area active but not over crowded.

Shortest distance to beach with private access we have ever had. Clean, neat, bright upon arrival. No maintenance issues. A short nine minute drive to nearest Food Lion; not crowded. Quick walk to convenience store with Jack Mackerel's restaurant across the street from store.

Ferry to Southport just down the road. Cute shops and restaurants for exploring; Bullfrog Corner, the Christmas Shop and Yacht Basin Eatery.

Wilmington at night is lit up and active even mid-week. Evening tours and carriage rides. Kilwinn's ice-cream store is worth a visit for fudge, ice-cream, candy!

More about beach house: Able to park 5 vehicles overnight on property with additional day parking in public lot right next door. Kitchen is surprisingly well stocked (sharp knives, electric fry pan, small kettle grill for outdoor barbecuing).

Was easy to work with pleasant Intracoastal Realty staff. They returned calls/emails to me quickly with answers to questions.

Blessed with sunny skies and only one morning of hard rain. Could not have asked for a nicer week! "

"We rented the house for a 13u baseball team for the weekend. House was excellent - amazing location and plenty of space for the team. Very clean and comfortable. Could not have asked for better. Thanks for accommodating us!"

"This was our first experience at a North Carolina beach with a family that ranged in age from 71 to 4 months. We had seven adults and two children and this house was perfect for us. The location is absolutely perfect if you like a quiet beach experience. The house is very comfortable and well equipped with good water pressure and plenty of cooking utensils and cleaning supplies. We were told not to check in the property on time as there seem to of been a air conditioning issue. However this was a minor inconvenience and the air-conditioning worked fine the entire time. There were minor issues which were probably resolved by the managers in a timely fashion. This house is perfect for a large family but do not expect high-end amenities or a grill. Also it is one of the older houses around and is set further back from the beach then it’s the neighbors which somewhat distracts from the view. However it is right on the beach and allows easy access. Also, note that it is right next to the public beach access, which means that at 6 AM the car doors start slamming as people start clamoring to the beach. There is adequate parking for five cars, two of which can be inside the garage."

"Enjoyed a good week at the beach! Amazing location right on the beach. We loved the porches - perfect for sunrises, sunsets, evenings, lunches... pretty much all day long when we weren't out in the sand. We loved having the lifeguard stand right in front of the house - with a toddler, it made us feel super comfortable. The house was well stocked with beach gear (chairs, buckets, shovels, even a beach wagon) extra kitchen items (paper products, plastic bags, etc).

We were a bit disappointed with the condition of the house when we arrived. We found quite a bit of dog hair (over 2 dustpans full, to be exact) from a previous furry tenant. We knew the place was dog friendly, but didn't make us feel like the place had been cleaned thoroughly. When we arrived, there was also a row of empty beer cans and bottles on top of the fridge, many of them with leftover beer and limes in the bottom - flies were everywhere. We also found trash from previous tenants that had been left on the porch and not caught by the cleaning crew. We really hoped that there would be better cleaning processes in place, especially in light of COVID-19.

Also, we had a few items in the house that weren't in great repair. The owners left a number of baby gates (nice!), but many of them didn't actually work. We weren't able to close the blinds in the bunk bed room, which made bedtime even more challenging. The toilets flush VERY slowly, and did back up. One of the garage doors wouldn't open. I called about it when we first arrived on Saturday, but missed the cutoff time that night. Instracoastal came to look at it on Monday and promised that someone would come the next day... it was not fixed by the time we left and we never heard anything else about it.

Overall - we enjoyed our stay very much but would suggest some small maintenance repairs and right now, would not recommend for anyone who is high risk for COVID-19 based on the cleaning processes. "

"We have rented this property for the past several years and practically consider it ours. It is the perfect size for me and my sisters to spend a relaxing week together. We use the ocean view porch the entire day and only go inside when absolutely necessary. We are very comfortable there. The kitchen supplies are more than adequate and we prepare all of our meals there. Since we are there in the off season the town and beach is not crowded. My husband walks to the pier every day to fish, coming back only to eat dinner. The bedrooms are a nice size and the seating in the open area is comfortable mostly for all of us. We would recommend this vacation beach house wholeheartedly. The management representative was so friendly and easy to talk to and provided the information that we needed."
