This 3 bedroom 3 bath oceanfront condo is located at the highly desirable Duneridge Resort. This spacious property is designed with elegant simplicity in mind. The large oceanfront master suite boasts a seating area, king size bed, and a custom shower in the private full bathroom. The two guest bedrooms are on the marsh side. The first guest bedroom has a queen bed with a full private bathroom. The second guest bedroom has two twin beds, each are a trundle, there is also a full bathroom in the hall next to this bedroom. "Very nice unit and location, 2nd floor made for nice view of the ocean. Loved the beach access, patio, and the pool. Very relaxing. Two things that could have been better:
1. Dishes/Pots/Utensils - very poor condition. Will not return to same unit unless these have been updated, since it made cooking and eating difficult. Would highly recommend the owner update these because we loved the unit otherwise.
2. Upstairs unit - there was some stomping after 9 p.m. that was bothersome. "

"This year was a different experience in that the kitchen was very poorly stocked with glasses so stained (and I know this maybe from the water but this is no excuse. We had exactly 3 dinner dishes. Once I talked to the manager she immediately went out and bought new glasses,dishes and coffee maker. The porch furniture was less then satisfactory. After baths the kids ran around on floors-feet were black on bottoms the first day. There were no covers for bottom of the trundle bed and I was told they didn't expect anybody to use them - I did! Very disappointment - will not becoming back next year, we will be checking out sites in other parts of the beach. Beach was beautiful and pool was great. If people are going to rent out their condos they should be stocked good. We paid approx $3500. for this. "

"We were shocked to realize that we overlooked the fact that this unit only had a kitchenette instead of a kitchen and being Thanksgiving, that was quite an obstacle. We had just assumed that a condo would have an oven and were also relieved that Intracoastal was able to help us find a unit with an oven to use. Other than that, the outdoor furniture was rusted to the point that we were not comfortable letting our young child out on the patio as there were rust flakes that would fall as you sat down. Overall, a pleasurable experience and excellent location. "

"We had a great time. We are planning to rent the unit again next year at the same time. I have two suggestions: 1) Wash the mattress covers more often or buy new every yr (next yr we will look at these 1st. I'm hoping we don't have to strip the beds to wash them and remake the beds) 2)Fix the lock on the door at times if was very difficult to lock. It looks like it was broken into not a 1st good impression. Other than those 2 things we had a marvelous time. Found the furniture very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay. As I said, we plan to rent 2211 next year."

"One trundle/twin bed combination was broken, and the other did not function properly. Three visits from maintenance resulted in the mattress being placed on floor. The microwave was broken, note found on cabinet warned of it,so was not new event. Finally a small substitute brought next day. The space was not really clean, just a slap-dash job. Staff noted, and passed the buck on all occasions. Liked location, did not like treatment, nor feel that I got what I paid for."

"A little disappointed in the condo. The drawer on one of the twin beds is still broken from last year. The dvd only plays in black and white. No directions on how to work dvd or tvs.
We made it all work, but it would be nice if these things were fixed. We do love Duneridge. "

"Our initial encounter with the rental was not positive. The door looked as if it has been beaten and pried open with a crow bar. The entry way hallway walls were marked up as were the dining room wall. The stove area and sink were not cleaned well. The front bedroom shower stall could have used additional cleaning. No toilet paper in the condo. We had to run to the store right away. The manager on site did not keep the hours posted leaving early and arriving late. The location is what made our stay. The beach and area is wonderful. Once we got over the initial discrepancies we had a wonderful stay."

"There was only one trash bag in the kitchen receptacle. When we removed the trash bag the receptacle was dirty from the previous renter. There was no soap for cleaning the dishes so the previous renter put dishes away dirty. No coffee filters which feels cheep since filters cost pennies each. For approximately $5.00 Dish soap,14 coffee filters, 3 dishwasher soap squares could be provided for a better experience. On the positive note the property management staff were so nice and accommodating! The gentleman that came to replace burnt out lightbulbs was exceptional. We like the secure feeling of the property and liked the location. The owners went to great care to make the home beautiful so I would recommend the condo to other vacationers. "

"We had a great trip. The unit was quite dirty upon our arrival. I used a damp white washcloth and wiped down everything from table tops, and faucets, to door frames because there was obvious dirt. The floors were filthy and the bedding hadn't been washed. Luke quickly remedied the bedding situation which I was grateful for, and I decided that I'd rather clean the unit myself and know that it was done properly since we were staying for two weeks. Whoever cleaned it before our arrival was far from thorough. "

"Overall, we were pleased with the appointments in this condo as it has extra space and a generous well finished master bathroom. However, the furniture quality left something to be desired relative to other similarly priced units. The upholstery in the family area and master bedroom needs cleaning and the area rug in the master was filthy. The walls were also somewhat dinged up from a paint standpoint. We would stay here again, but feel these suggestions should be addressed given the premium price for this particular unit."

"One issue that should have been called in but the cleaning staff was the master bedroom sink. When we arrived I noticed sand in the sink and then I noticed the sink was not draining properly. The cleaning staff could not have possibly have missed a sink not draining and sand left in the sink. Also 3 lights burnt out. When the very nice maintenance man showed up to replace the coffee pot and a burnt out light in the kitchen, I failed to notice the 2 burnt out lights in the master bath (one in the shower and one in the ceiling). One other issue(this happened last year too) the previous renters are putting away dirty dishes. We feel this is due to not having dish washer soap being provided. One suggestion to alleviate this issue is charge for a complete condo kit, i.e. paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap,kleenex, including a list of how to use the items. One last suggestion pleats include 4 dish towels for drying dishes as 2 is insufficient. On a positive note Intracoastal is so pleasant to do business with and we hope to use you in the future. "We have been staying at Duneridge for several years. We get two condos to accommodate the three families (and six grandsons). LOVE IT. The beach has wonderful sand, the walk to the north end of the island is fun and full of interesting pools. The Resort complex also has a big pool which is very good for the range of boys (3-11) and because it gets hot on the beach in the afternoon.
Only problem has been the Internet access. While available and reliable enough for casual, personal use - My son has needed to do some work, and it is very slow for that. We may have to set up a Hot SPOT next year."

"Wrightsville is a beautiful beach town with nearby things to do. Our rental was nice and updated but it was missing forks and knives and the floors were not cleaned very well. If you moved a chair there was a lot of sand and dust hidden below. Overall I would go back. There was plenty of room for the seven of us and two babies."

"I rented the condo directly above the one I was staying in for my son and his family (3 young boys). This is the second year they have stayed in this particular condo - and the LOVE it. Its particularly nice for our extended family because there's a building 2 stairway running beside the two condos, making it easy for the 6 cousins (all boys) to go up and down. This second floor condo is particularly well decorated with hardwood floors, three rooms and three baths. "

"Had a great time, enjoyed the beach and area. Have stayed in the same condo for 7 years. I always look forward to our trip to the beach. This year we had an issue with bugs (roaches). Some of the furniture needs up dating (a good cleaning or recovering); one of the twin beds is actually broken. Still, we had a good time. The property is so convenient and accessible to the beach with a great pool "

"On the first morning we were there when we turned on the faucets of the sinks and showers and a horrible smell came out. We called maintenance and it took them a number of calls from us (despite their promise to be "right there") and a number of hours to get someone out there to look at it and then more time to fix the problem. it ruined the first day of our four day stay. They did give us a small (20%) discount and let us stay later on Sunday than their usual 10am checkout. We did not feel like we were well treated by the management company. Other than that we enjoyed the property. The location was great and the property other than the smell the first day was good. The people at the management company were not very helpful, however. "

"Wrightsville Beach is may favorite beach and it did not disappoint. Duneridge is a great complex. Wonderful beach access and great pool. Unit 2211 was good but not great. Arrived to broken bed in one bedroom. We luckily did not need it. They could not fix while we were there. The grade of furniture is the reason the unit was not great. All furniture seemed to be budget mindful or cheap. Beds creeked. Chairs were not sturdy and one needed minor repairs."

"Easy access to the beach, well appointed and plenty of room for 2 adults and 3 boys (ranging from 4 to 8 years old). We also rent 2111, right below it, which makes it easy to go back and forth, but gives us the separation to get some quiet time. (One set of 3 boys in 2111 and a second set of 3 boys (13, 11 and 8) in the other. "

"This was our third stay at Duneridge. We love the location! The beach is wonderfully accessible. Good parking. Pleasant pool.
Overall, this particular condo was very well maintained by the owners--fresh paint, uncluttered, etc. But we were appalled with the cleaning and local maintenance. The morning after our arrival we left a voice message with the office (which was closed on Sunday!) about the problems:
- A bed was broken. We put the mattress on the floor. Within a couple days, at our request, they removed the broken bed which was taking up space. Two days before we left, a box that appeared to contain the new bed was delivered & left inside the doorway un-assembled. My daughter slept on a mattress on the floor for the entire stay.
-Not all beds had pillows, and one case was filled with a throw pillow rather than a sleeping pillow. We requested more pillows. They were delivered w/out pillowcases. After another call, the pillow cases arrived.
- One bed was without a top sheet. The master bed was without a bottom sheet. Really?!!!
- The faucet on the master shower was broken--water would only get tepid. After two days, repair person #1 arrived & made it slightly warmer, but said it required a plumber. Mid week, when we still were without hot water, we made our third trip to the rental office. We were casually told, "I saw the email about this problem, but thought it had been taken care of." The plumber didn't arrive--we didn't have hot water in the shower--until the day before we left.
- Each repair person discussed the problems and possible solutions with us as though we were the owners. We thought we were on vacation!!!
- The first thing we had to do when we arrived was sweep the sand out of the kitchen/hall.
- Evidently the shower worked okay for the previous renters, because there was a big wad of hair in the drain. Not cool!!!
I doubt that the owner of this rental knows what is going on, and I hope the management of these p"

There was a lot of walking from our room, to the elevator, to the pool and beach. I wish I had known because we had 2 disabled people in our group. Disappointed that we had to clean the condo first and that the refrigerator was leaking quite a bit and a toilet was fastened to the floor. "

"So this is a very mixed review and I will do it in pros and cons:

Pros:
We enjoy the layout, the view, the new bathrooms (love the master shower!) and the beds are comfy. And we love Duneridge.

Cons:
Place was not worth the price we paid even with the discount they offered (which we appreciated!). We moved for our next month to another unit in Duneridge sacrificing the higher view for a much more comfortable and stocked unit.

Intracoastal was great in providing the items that were missing altogether from the unit when we arrived: Broom, mop, vacuum cleaner and scissors. They also helped us get a DVD player that worked. In addition--here is the list of things we found lacking in this unit:

1) *Refrigerator, no ice or filtered water as it was broken.
* Leaks--needs towel under it at all times
* Vegetable drawer falls out constantly when pulled out to get food
* temperature regulation difficult--freezes food in fridge---had eggs freeze and explode!! We had to adjust temperature constantly.

2) Microwave light for cooktop burned out and can't see cooktop

3) Stove top burners are weak--can't even boil water when another cooktop is being used. And it takes forever to have anything boil on one of the stove tops.

4) Cutlery is dull and few--no knife set

5) Almost every dish and cup is cracked or chipped

6) Technology old--in this day of smart TV. Also, TV in bedroom too small for space

7) Wifi weak or non existent (doesn't work in bedrooms)

8) Windows in desperate need of cleaning.

9) All ocean side window screens are torn with tears large enough for bugs to enter.

10) Extremely sparse decorating--not at all homey. Needs pictures on walls and updated furniture. Seems to be a bit neglected.

All that said, if some of these things can be fixed, especially the fridge, we would consider staying again. "

"Have been staying at Duneridge for over two decades, and rented through Intracoastal at another property for over 15 years before that. Unfortunately, every year the quality of management and the property itself seems to decline. Unit was not ready until 2.5 hours after check-in, and was not cleaned properly, e.g. balls of hair on the bathroom floor, dirty countertops, dirty mattress pads, etc. The views were beautiful, as always, and the pool is nice. "

"We love Duneridge and have been going for over 20 years. This unit, while mostly nice, had a few issues -
Ants in the master bedroom upon arrival
Black mold on and moisture dripping from some of the AC ceiling vents
Bathroom shower fixtures were not attached to the tile.
Beautiful view but can't see out of some of the windows and most wouldn't open. Windows and screens need to be replaced -
Need a screen door on the patio.
Basically the unit needs some minor repairs that would greatly improve the experience.
