Recent Reviews About This Property

"Had some problems with the rental unit keeping the payments correctly. Need to insure there is someone on duty at all times that understands the whole process."

from Wilmington, 07/21/2011

"Quality of furniture and amenities were very good. There were a few maintenance issues - some of the microwave buttons didn't work, no working lock on one of the sliding doors, keys were difficult to use. We enjoyed the pool and the proximity to the beach. We also appreciated that the kitchen was nicely stocked with utensils and some paper products at the property to get our stay started."

Laura F. from Durham, 07/25/2011

"We had problems getting connected to the wifi, which was especially frustrating for one person in our party, a retired IT professional. Customer device regarding this matter was hair pulling."

Allyson C. from West University Place, 09/07/2011

"Our only disappointment was that the unit smelled like smokers had been there. It was spotlessly clean, the air just smelled like smoking. It may have been in the air conditioning system possibly.
Everything else was great and thanks so much for our wonderful week!"

from Hillsborough, 07/15/2012

"This unit is fine, but it is very plain. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit that is in a great location. This unit meets all your basic comforts, but no extras and no view. There seems to be a lighting problem in one bath where the light bulbs keep blowing out."

from Winston Salem, 07/31/2012

"This is the dirtiest, stinkiest place we have ever rented for a vacation. It totally ruined our vacation. It is advertised as a smoke free unit, however, the smell of stale cigarette smoke greeted us as we opened the door. It was disgusting!! We had our 10 mo. old granddaughter with us--her hands and the top of her feet were black after crawling on the filthy floor. We went to the Causeway office immediately Sun. morning and asked to be moved, but were told that wasn't possible. We asked 2 more times and still were told "no". We were told a cleaning crew would come, but they never arrived. On Tues. we had to rush the baby to the emergency room with breathing problems. (She had to have breathing treatments.) The cabinets in the kitchen were sticky, the trash can smelled, the bathroom rugs were dirty, the blinds were broken, the deck was slimy, the front door keys didn't work. We didn't want to touch anything. Glad I live in Wilmington--we just came back home. Now I am trying to get my money back. Worst vacation ever. "

Patricia D. from Wilmington, 09/05/2012

"We loved our rental on the sound! It was clean & comfortable, & all our visitors remarked on how nice it was. "

Karen K. from Cameron, 09/27/2012

"For our longer stay, we would like to some better chairs in the living room."

Ron G. from Paris, 03/02/2013

"Loved wrightsville beach! Cord grass bay is located very conveniently across the road from the beach.unit was clean and comfortable overall. Only complaints were there wasn't a grill, the kitchen needed some utensil upgrades,(flat wear toaster oven). Carpeting pretty worn in living room, and really need new mattresses in 2 guest rooms. But neighbors were friendly, would definitely go back."

from Stockholm, 07/29/2013

"The location & well-equipped kitchen were very nice. However, the door locks need to be replaced. Maintenance said that as long as he could unlock the door, the owner would not replace the locks. One key would not work at all for us & the other key worked sporadically. We spent as much as 10-15 minutes trying to unlock front door several times; and we ended up leaving the condo unlocked frequently because of the frustration with the lock. Fortunately, nothing was stolen. I would not rent this unit again."

from Wilmington, 08/06/2013

"Our stay was nice and the unit had everything we needed; however, there was cat fur everywhere. Carpet, kitchen, bath, beds. My husband is very allergic to cat fur. Management was prompt to respond, but there response was to simply vacuum. This didn't fully clean up the fur. We needed to stay in the unit for an extended amount of time as we were between homes, having sold ours and the new one wasn't ready. So we choose to rent a steam cleaner and professionally clean the floors. "

"The Condo was not very clean the last two years. Otherwise, we had a very good time."

Ron G. from Paris, 03/12/2014

"we found the unit neat, the accommodations and furniture were first class. the unit is located in a central location. "

from WILMINGTON, 05/04/2014

"The condo is well laid out and well furnished though a bit dated. We were very comfortable."

Joel S. from Woodbury, 07/28/2014

"This condo was very clean and the location was great--a short walk across Lumina and we were at the beach. It was well-stocked with kitchen appliances and dishes. The decor was very 1980s, and some areas smelled musty--next time I think I'll choose a more updated condo. But overall I'm glad it was clean and convenient. We had a good stay."

from Chapel Hill, 08/19/2014

"Clean, cozy, comfortable condo."

Leslie G. from Wilmington, 08/20/2014

"Pleasant enough. Good location and tasteful furnishings. Shower water smelled like "rotten eggs" because of sulpher perhaps? Also horrible smell from kitchen disposal. Upstairs occupants were quite noisy as well. Beds were comfortable though and the kitchen well-equipped."

from Wilmington, 12/03/2014

"Overall we had a good experience. We have been doing this for 6 years. The unit was not all that clean when we moved in. The water has a very strong oder. The vacuum does not work very well."

Ron G. from Paris, 03/01/2015

"Overall it was good. The vacuum sweeper needs to be replaced. The water smells. "

Ron G. from Paris, 03/04/2016

"We had a lovely four days staying at Cordgrass in Wrightsville Beach. Our accommodations were very nice and quite comfortable. The only disappointment we had was we thought we would have a view of the beach from our balcony and instead had a view of the tennis courts. "

from San Jose, 05/12/2016

"Good location "

from Blountville, 07/18/2016

"Very peaceful and roomy. Quite enjoyable. Would definitely rent the space again."

Mark S. from Charlotte, 10/28/2016

"Good"

Ron G. from Paris, 03/01/2017

"The unit itself was very big; however, the whole place needs a major face lift and is looking tired. The unit was clean.

The kitchen- the space was clean, yet all of the kitchenware was dirty with soap scum or crusty food. We had to wash everything before it could be used. Dishwasher became a big drying rack as it didn't clean things.

The water- smelled like sewage. Must have been either sulphur or lime in the hot water system. If we wanted to shower in the unit it was cold water only, otherwise we showered at a location offsite.

Given the astronomical prices we paid to stay here I expected better. I wouldn't consider staying at this place again unless it was less than half of what we paid and some things get addressed.

Positives- the communication from the rental company was excellent. Check-in was easy and I knew exactly what to do before I even started travelling. Easy beach access and great place to stay for a family just looking to hang near a beach.

"The tap water had a very bad smell to it. By the end of our vacation it had improved or else we had gotten used to it but my thinking is that the unit may not have been rented for sometime and once we ran all the water out of the hot water tank that had been sitting there for a while it wasn't as rank smelling but it was pretty bad the first couple of days. Definitely take your bottled water with you."

Donna L. from Zebulon, 07/20/2017

"The unit needs a new water filtration system. It smelled disgusting. We understand beach water contains more of a sulfur smell but this was horrific. I was told this is normal and the only way to fix it temporarily is to run the water for at least 45 minutes which the maintenance rep came and did I assuming and it still smelled. I did not even feel comfortable washing my babies bottles or child's cups in the water I had to boil bottled water. Thankfully we were in town to visit family and I was able to wash shower etc there. The other issue was the hairs found in the bathrooms and on the sheets etc. This could have been a great place to stay based on location etc but I would not rent here again. "

Kim M. from Cornelius, 08/16/2017

"We enjoyed our stay. The unit is not equipped to handle the extreme cold temperatures. Our stay was 2 months. The unit could used an update on furniture."

Ron G. from Paris, 03/01/2018

"It was fine. We had a few things that did not work."

Ron G. from Paris, 03/15/2019

"This was a very nice unit and the location was perfect to access the beach without having to load up the car. Very friendly staff and the neighbors in 2315D made us feel like home. We will be renting this condo again. "

Richard J. from Angier, 05/07/2019

"We had a great time at the beach with my family for my birthday, the location is close to the beach with a great public access that has bathrooms. The property itself has good bones but could use updates. Specifically the beds. None of us in the three bedrooms slept well. The blankets in the closets had holes in them, and all the beds were hard and squeaky. The porch hang could be more inviting too. Upgrade the furniture. Everyone wants to hang out on the porch at the beach. "

Kenda K. from Cary, 05/20/2019

"We enjoyed our annual vacation at Cordgrass Bay. The location and price was perfect for us. We appreciated Intracoastal Realty’s staff accommodations for parking."
