Recent Reviews About This Property

"We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely amenities at Kaitlyn's Korner. It's newly renovated and has four nice bedrooms, each with a separate bath, and a beautiful kitchen. The decorations are tasteful and the furniture comfortable. The property is wonderfully close to the private beach access for the community."

"This is an excellent place. My family and I really enjoyed the closeness to beach access and the open living room plan."

from Winston Salem, 09/05/2013

"This was our best beach experience yet. The property was great, close by amenities, short walk to the beach and quiet area. The house exceeded our expectations. What is better than 4½ bathes with 3 girls? The furnishings were first rate and loved the porches with the ocean breezes. Made use of the bikes. Beach was less populated than most...was like having our own private beach most of the time. Can't wait to come back."

Donna J. from Mooresboro, 06/23/2014

"It was a wonderful home & close to everything. Very relaxing. Enjoyed spending time outside on the decks beach watching and star gazing. Great location. Look forward to coming back."

carol D. from roanoke, 08/04/2014

"This is a roomy house in a good location. A bathroom for every bedroom is good for privacy. The downstairs bed/bath especially. Porch space galore. Clean, great A/C system. LOVED the outside shower-great water pressure. We have used Intracoastal for several rentals and have always received excellent service. "

Jessica R. from Commerce City, 08/07/2014

"Kaitlyn's Korner was spacious and tastefully decorated. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy for us to team up for meal preparation; and the four bedrooms, and four and a half bathrooms gave our family of six the privacy we needed. The location was close to our beautiful private beach, and also had a warm sand shower outside. It was the perfect place for us and our four grown children to spend time together. Boogie boards and bicycles were provided, and tennis courts were within a mile away. "

"Our experience was wonderful. We really enjoyed the house & the location. The balcony with the rocking chairs was our favorite spot for late night laughs & talks. The house was clean & spacious. We will return for another vacation there."

"This was my family's first time renting a beach house and it was AMAZING! "

Mary H. from Galloway, 08/12/2015

"The house was every clean and inviting. We all felt very much at home. It was very convenient to the beach. Loved, loved the porch. Just a couple of suggestions - microwave could have been better. Would not even pop a bag of popcorn. And the sofa and loveseat could have been more comfortable - pretty but didn't sit well. All in all, a great place to stay. We would definitely go back."

"the best equipped rental we ever stayed in. Perfect walk to the beach. loved having bikes,Loved getting take out from Freddies and enjoyed introducing our 1 year old grandson to the beach. Our second son loved the space of the first floor. Hope to return sometime in 2016.Thanks to the owners for a beautifully clean vacation home."

"Quality home, furnishings, etc. Everyone in the group loved the place and would come back again in a heartbeat!"

from Belews Creek, 09/22/2015

"We had a great time at Kure Beach during 4th of July week. We only had one hiccup when given the wrong key for the beach access gate. We notified the management company and it was corrected the next day. The house was great and suited our needs perfectly."

Julia H. from Holly Springs, 07/29/2016

"This was our 3rd stay at Kaitlyn's Korner. Overall was very good but it did seem the cleaning was not complete. Shower doors were in desperate need of cleaning and we did find some bugs (cockroaches or palmento, I can't tell the difference)."

Donna J. from Mooresboro, 08/22/2016

"This is the second year staying at Kaitlyn's Korner and enjoyed it even more than than the first. Even though Tropical Depression Julia decided to pay us a visit, we still had a great time. The porches provided us a place to relax during the rain. Only one complaint- microwave wouldn't even pop popcorn. Otherwise, the accommodations were great. We hope to return again next year."

from Jasper, 09/19/2016

"Had a quiet week in Kure Beach, the HOA beach access is close but only one key (a pain), The beach was great, perfect temp, shallow for the kids, no crowds, clean, some surfing! Dishwasher, Internet, and Kitchen sink hot water were defective...all fixed after a few days. Residence is nice and roomy, Fort Fisher aquarium was great! Check out the riverfront/battleship in Wilmington."

Michael M. from Marcy, 06/29/2017

"This lovely home is directly across the street from the ocean access, and we spent many evenings enjoying the breezes on the porch. It has a light and airy feel, nicely decorated, and has only the usual signs of beach wear from the salt water, such as worn door knobs, etc. The kitchen equipment was our biggest complaint, as pots and pans were old and some basic things were missing (a pitcher, wooden spoons, baking sheets, for example.) Otherwise, this was a wonderful spot to enjoy family and friends for a week. "

from Henrico, 07/03/2017

"The house was great....wonderful!!! Lots of room. Kitchen was well stocked. It was clean to my expectations - and that's RARE. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the porch - good breeze. Would have liked to be able to use the pool located nearby. Very short walk to the beach - perfect for "little legs" and "old legs" alike."

from Lexington, 08/01/2017

"We had a wonderful time --- a few bumps along the way, but mostly a great week!!"

Robert O. from Ijamsville, 09/04/2017

"3rd time staying here. Location is great! Did have issues with breakers kicking off. Maintenance was quick to respond. House was not cleaned well after last renter and toilets were really dirty!! Other than these issues, loved the house and had a great time!"

from Jasper, 10/16/2017

"Great experience. Friendly and patient folks to work with. Very responsive when there was an issue that needed attention."

Richard T. from Wrightsville Beach, 04/18/2018

- Great location and proximity to beach access. Probably the best feature of the house.
- Kitchen is stocked with enough cook ware for lots of cooking.
- Nice open living room and kitchen; good for a group
- Rooms are good sized. I wouldn't recommend adults on the twin beds. They're quite small.

- ants; we had an ant problem the entire visit. management came by to put down traps but were understandably unable to spray while we occupied the space. Hopefully they got it under control after our visit.
- Carpets are a bit dirty. Recommend wearing indoor shoes if you don't like dirty feet at the end of the day.
- Be prepared to fully stock the kitchen with supplies yourself. We had to buy everything down to trash bags and coffee filters.

"Even though our vacation was cut short due to having to vacate because of Hurricane Florence, we enjoyed our 2 1/2 days there. Location is perfect! The house could have been cleaner. Floors did not appear to have been cleaned. Multiple light bulbs missing from lamps. We had to call Intercoastal due to the one key given to the beach gate did not work. We felt this should have been checked out before we arrived. And there should be 2 keys. We were very disappointed that we were forced to leave by Intercoastal on Tuesday by 5 even though the mandatory evacuation was not until Wednesday at 8 pm. We did get to meet the owner, Todd, who was very accommodating even though he was having to board up the house in preparation for the hurricane. We are so thankful the damage was not worse from the hurricane because we truly love the area. This was our 4th year renting this same house. We wish everyone the best in their cleanup/repairs from the hurricane and thankful everyone was safe!"

"The location was great. We liked the layout of the house and the light quality was great. It was bright and airy. We enjoyed our beach week but really, the house was sooo dirty. The cleaning crew did their jobs but the blankets, upholstery, etc were filty! I have pictures. There were blood tains on the bedding. And... the downstairs had bed bugs. My daughter and I had these little very red bites and I thought it was misquitos but no one else had them and when I cam home, I looked it up. Bed Bugs. These were NOT misquito bites.

They could really invest in some decent pots and pans. Almost all the pots and pans were old teflon pans that were scratched up. If youre renting this place, bring your own pots and pans if you don't want to eat flakes of teflon.

When we first got there it was a little deflating first because we couldn't get in till after 6 because they were still cleaning butalso to to see how dirty it was. When we called, the management company sent someone to clean again right away which we really appreciated. They were very responsive and really so nice on the phone. I also got a refund check right away for the fact that the TV was not working the week we were there.
