"We have been staying at Wrightesville Dunes for the past 16 years and have even stayed in the Wilson unit several times. I believe we stayed there when it was first renovated. We love it; however, we do think that it now could use a little freshening up. The carpet is a bit worn and I also think the kitchen could use a few new utensils to freshen it up. Otherwise, we love it. "

"We enjoyed this unit, perfect view and balcony, but it needs new carpet and a door installed leading from the master bedroom into the living room, not much privacy. I would suggest installing Laminate flooring, the carpet had a bad smell."

"This unit is clean and nicely furnished and updated. Kitchen and master bath are very nice. We enjoyed our stay very much. It is nice that the sound side is an end unit against the wall for chairs to enjoy that view as well - gorgeous sunsets. This is a personal preference, but I did not like the hallway from the master bedroom to the master bathroom that was open to the main area of the unit. I prefer more privacy between master bedroom & bathroom. I have been in other units that had a door there. Also, the lock on the sliding glass door to the deck facing the ocean was unusable due to the deterioration of the metal - so it would not lock. Oh and something is wrong with the TV remote control in the main living area. We replaced the batteries & it still did not work (although did intermittently). The wifi was weak and could only be used in the main living area. Our children found out the hard way that they used all their data allowance in the bedrooms due to being out of range of the wifi. We had a much higher wireless bill that month!"

Although you alerted us ahead of time that there would be no starter soap, toilet tissue, etc. in the condo this is not at all what we have received in other rentals over the years. It's a minor aggravation even though we were prepared."
"Wrightsville Beach was a perfect choice for our family vacation, and the Wrightsville Dunes condo was a great choice. Beautiful beach. We walked both the beach and around the neighborhood every day. Easy access to restaurants, stores and recreation rentals. The only negative we experienced was the noise from the 3rd floor condo. We would definitely book again."
"Overall a very pleasant stay in a very spacious unit. Recent renovations were very nice, but furnishings in the kitchen were lacking, coffee pot was out of order so we bought a new one, not enough utensils, oven mitts, serving dishes, and the like. Minor items, but disappointing. "

"The view was breath taking. The space was ample and very nicely appointed. Very comfortable.
The walk to the beach was a snap.
Negative: We neatly stacked our beach chairs in a corner under the garage portico. Got a nasty note. Our neighbor got a nasty note about shoes outside the condo. We are doing those things to protect the owners property. Dragging in wet sandy objects is not kind to the owners. Really, no one could see these from the street and everything was nice and orderly.
Also we left a dryer full of beach towels. We will be in the area in a couple of weeks. Any way to pick those up?"
8/1 Glad they enjoyed the stay so much! The unit is great, glad they appreciated it. We have had issues with Wrightsville Dunes leaving notes for people about equipment outside. Need to find out where guests can leave equipment. CMM

"This unit is well-appointed. Our stay very enjoyable. Property mgr left a note on our beach cart saying we couldn't leave it behind the garages overnight. Ridiculous - we were about the only family in building H. Lucky our storage unit had no padlock,
otherwise would have been a huge hassle storing upstairs. Elevator and pool out of service longer than necessary (5 days) after storm. Property mgr needs help or access to better resources."

"For the most part, a lovely property and vacation. However, we did have one major problem. We had arranged to rent a condo in Wrightsville Dunes from Friday May 27
through Friday June 3.
A request was put in for early arrival, but of course these may be difficult and
we understand that. As it happened, we arrived at 4:15 pm, after even the normal
check-in of 4 pm. We were told that the condo was just then being 'inspected.'
Driving down to the condo (Building H, 2-B), we discovered that your representative was, indeed,
still in the unit. She demonstrated to us how difficult it was to work the deadbolt, though she
offered no solution (it was difficult; we had trouble with it the whole week).
On getting inside, we found that the shower in the bathroom for the master bedroom did not function.
No water at all. And the water from the other faucets came out black and with the belches that speak
of long vacancy (and no checking to see if they worked!)
The next day we called and were told a maintenance man would come out. Sean did indeed appear quite soon,
and tried to fix the shower. He had to turn off all the water to the unit, denying us the use of our condo bathrooms
Sean was unable to fix it. A plumber was called, and came out within a couple of hours. Sean had turned the water back
on, so this was not so bad. The plumber, 'PJ', from Wrightsville Beach Plumbing, INC () had some interesting
information. The reason the shower did not work is that no one had ever turned on the internal valve that would
allow it to operate. So your inspector had not checked to make sure it worked, and in fact whoever installed it had
left the screw valve on the shower unit in the 'off' position.
Yet we were assured that it had been inspected, and that all was in order before we moved in, though, it did not appear so and that no one had checked to see if"
So sorry to hear there was issues with the shower. Our inspectors inspect for cleanliness and other maintenance items, I'm sorry if they neglected to check the shower water itself. We hope to have them again and show them a better vacation.
