Fonvielle

We've stayed at Fonvielle seven years (nearly) straight and it feels like our home away from home. We love it! The home is the perfect place for friends and family to gather and you can't beat the location. The owners do a fantastic job of keeping Fonvielle in excellent condition - investing into it every year we come back. We do our best to treat it as our own as it is the only place we'll continue to come back to as long as we can.

This was one of the most lovely homes we have stayed on in all of our years at Wrightsville Beach. We are beginning a tradition with our children and grandchildren in this home and we are so thankful to the owners for sharing!

The Fonvielle house did not disappoint! Not only is the house beautiful, the owners thought of just about everything to create a family friendly beach house! Upon arrival we found the house very clean. The elevator was so helpful when bringing in luggage and groceries! The two outdoor showers quickly became the favorite place to shower! Love and appreciated all the towel hooks I’m the garage and the outdoor hose was so nice for taking care of sandy feet. Because we have a large family and because of our intent to follow CDC protocol concerning the covid virus, the large well appointed kitchen was wonderful! We cooked some great meals in that kitchen! The dishwasher needs some attention, it was not doing a good job of getting dishes clean. The laundry room was invaluable! The ONLY bummer was construction next door but that did not keep us from having one of the best family vacations ever! Thank you to the owners of Fonvielle for creating such a wonderful beach house!

We've rented Fonvielle four years (almost in a row) and absolutely love it. It sounds silly, but it feels like our home away from home every year. We adore the place and love the fact that our annual beach trip has evolved from a few friends to now kids, friends, and their kids and we love sharing the family memories at the house.
The house is amazing, clean, well cared for and a great size - large enough for a couple families but not institutional.
We hope to continue the annual 'beach trip' for many years to come and hope we can call Fonvielle home each year while in Wrightsville.

This is a beautiful home that met all of our family's needs located just steps from the beach! We had plenty of room to spread out, cook delicious meals, play games and rest well at night. The property has lovely decor and is well maintained. The manager was quite helpful and directed us to a delightful young man for a grill rental. Four of us enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding with Wrightsville Beach SUP. Be sure to eat at Tower 7 and get ice cream across the street for dessert!

We had a lot of rain and the ocean was rough all week, but that's out of all our control. The home is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. It was very clean and the ocean views are as good as it gets.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Fonvielle. The house is beautiful and the location is fabulous. The layout of the house made for a very comfortable stay and the decor was very well appointed. We enjoyed the games that were available in the living area. The porch overlooking the beach had much seating and was a perfect place for morning coffee and an evening glass of wine. We would recommend this property very highly and would love to return soon.

This is the absolute nicest rental we've ever had. The house is spectacular and of the finest quality, with upgrades throughout. And the beach can't be more than 50 yards away. Perfect in every aspect.

Our party had 4 children. We checked in on Friday after 4pm. Toilets were backed up by 2.00am with the sewage coming up in a bathtub. Obviously a problem from previous renters . The real problem is you call the emergency number and must wait until the rental office opens at 9 am. Then you must wait for a work order . We were NOT the first service call for the plumber. Go figure. It was a health issue. So much for having an emergency. Not a workable system for renters Plumber had 24 hour service.

9/16 We respond to our on call center at all hours of the day and night. We unfortunately didn't receive a message from this guest through our on call service until 8:22am. Once it was reported we got a plumber out as quickly as possible. Someone had flushed floss, box and all, down the toilet which caused the clog. We got the issues resolved as quickly as possible and got the unit cleaned again afterwards. We hope to have them again and show them a better experience. CMM

The Fonvielle was a lovely home in a lovely setting for our family gathering! We had a great time playing on the sand & in the surf. We enjoyed late afternoons & evenings lounging on the deck watching the waves lap onto the shore.
I guess not everyone reads what the check-out condition should be upon departure...but when we arrived there was dried food bits in the sink & the dishwasher was full of dishes! We did mention to the rental ofc. the thermostat in the 4th flr. bedroom was malfunctioning. But overall we loved our stay!!

Awesome house & awesome location right on the beach + walking convenience to downtown. It's the best house we've stayed in @ WB with wonderful views, a lot of space & upgraded amenities. We plan to go back next year. One observation....would ceiling fans in the bedrooms help reduce AC costs? Thanks for a great time!

Best house we've ever stayed in @ WB! Expansive ocean view, terrific living area / back porch and accommodating floor plan. Upscale kitchen is perfect for cooking those fresh summertime seafood dinners. One side note - Maybe bedroom ceiling fans would help lower the monthly electric bill?

Only one minor problem..we did see a few water bugs but this was reported to the rental agency and I am sure will be taken care of promptly. Otherwise, this house is wonderful! Great location..walking distance to everything, beautiful views, and in spotless condition. Loved our vacation and will rent again.

Couldn't check in till 4:15. No place to put trash for first 3 days. Not all doors lock. Beautiful modern property.

The only negatives: 1) The dishwasher did not clean well. The dinner plates are too large, don't fit well. 2) The comfortable stools need felt pads on the legs to avoid floor scratches. 3) The outside foot-hose handle had rusted off. A vice grip fixed it temporarily.
